Unlocking Possibilities for one of Ontario’s premier custom home builders.

OVERVIEW Located in London, Ontario, Westhaven Homes is an award-winning developer specializing in custom built homes. While at One Twenty Three West, I led a cross-functional team to develop an entirely new brand strategy, a vibrant identity, and a best-in-class web experience and roadmap for lead-gen and customer engagement.

The newly developed brand strategy centres around the idea that Westhaven builds homes as unique as the people who live in them. Our strategic research led us to uncover that most custom builders championed their own creative visions over the needs of their clients or used the term “custom” in fashion that alienated homebuyers before they could even understand the process. Being that Westhaven’s target demographic were upper-middle multi-generational families and young professionals who worked remotely and wanted to own outside of the city, custom home development often made the most sense and avoided potentially costly and unreliable remodelling.

The logo draws inspiration from the doors rendered on architectural plans. It represents that life that is and the life that could be in a Westhaven home.

THE DIGITAL EXPERIENCEThe new Westhaven website draws further inspiration from the stylistic characteristics of architectural plans. A bold blue and white palette accented by strong keylines allows content to be framed in a unique way and creates a seamless experience throughout the entire site.

The site’s architecture invites prospective home buyers to explore the process of buying custom and understand the concierge-like services that Westhaven provides. Home buyers can easily view the lot availabilities within each community and drill down into specifics about a property. Initiating the custom home process has never been easier. By moving away from a traditional realtor-led model, Westhaven has begun to empower their customers and establish relationships built more on trust.
